Behind every handcrafted piece of rustic furniture from LogHeads Home Center is a dedicated team of people who care about quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. From the first furniture design to the final finish, careful packaging, and delivery preparation, our leadership team works together to make sure every order receives the personal attention it deserves.

LogHeads Home Center is a family-owned American rustic furniture manufacturer located in Lancaster, Kentucky. Our experienced team helps customers across the country bring the beauty of nature indoors with handcrafted log furniture for cabins, lodges, lake houses, and everyday homes.

Tommy and Gwen Mitchell — Owners

Tommy and Gwen Mitchell are the heart of LogHeads Home Center. With more than 30 years of experience in the rustic furniture industry, they have built the company around craftsmanship, dependable service, and a genuine love for helping customers bring their vision to life.

Known as the original “LogHead,” Tommy oversees the manufacturing side of the business. He is the company’s lead furniture designer and log railing expert, using decades of hands-on knowledge to guide the construction of unique, durable pieces. From rustic log beds, bedroom furniture to dining tables, living room furniture, outdoor furniture, and custom log railing, Tommy’s experience influences every part of the LogHeads product line.

Gwen oversees sales, marketing, and accounting. Her leadership helps keep the business moving forward while ensuring the company remains focused on the people it serves. Together, Tommy and Gwen have created a team that shares their commitment to quality, integrity, and American craftsmanship.

Donna — Sales and Marketing Lead

Donna assists customers in finding the perfect pieces of LogHeads furniture for their homes. She takes time to understand each customer’s needs, answer questions, explain available options, and share the story behind our handcrafted furniture.

Here at LogHeads we have many options when choosing rustic furniture & railing.  This includes furniture size, wood texture, finish, fabric, and room layout. Donna helps make that process easier by guiding customers through their choices along with showcasing the craftsmanship that goes into every piece. Her friendly, personal approach helps customers feel confident when selecting furniture or railing for their cabin, lodge, lake house, or rustic home. 

For over 15 years, Donna has been helping customers bring their rustic furniture dreams to life by sharing her deep knowledge of log furniture, design, and craftsmanship. 

Stacey — Customer Care Coordinator

Stacey is the main point of contact for keeping customer orders moving smoothly. Her excellent customer service entails assisting customers with questions, providing production and shipping updates.  Her main goal is to ensure every customer receives the best possible buying experience from the time your order is placed, prepared for delivery and delivered to your home.

Ordering handcrafted furniture is an exciting investment, and communication matters throughout the process. Stacey ensures all  customers understand what to expect, coordinates important order details.  With Stacey’s knowledge of our furniture, she is always available to assist you with your order placement.  Her focus on clear communication and dependable customer care is an important part of the LogHeads experience. 

Stacey brings over 10 years of log furniture expertise and knowledge to every customer she helps, ensuring each person receives trusted guidance and personalized service.

John — Production Manager, Flat Department

John supervises the LogHeads Flat Department. As our Lead Custom Craftsman in this department, John plays a key role in bringing unique furniture designs to life through his attention to detail, expertise, and dedication to quality craftsmanship. Along with his team of craftsmen they manufacture rustic dressers, chests, desks, nightstands, cabinets, and many other custom solid-wood furniture pieces. He coordinates daily operations, guides the production team, and helps ensure every piece meets LogHeads standards for quality and durability.

With more than 30 years of experience, John brings valuable knowledge to the manufacturing process.

Jackie “Biggun” — Production Manager, Round Department

Jackie, better known around LogHeads as “Biggun,” supervises the Round Department.  Biggun serves as our Lead Custom Craftsman in the Round Department, bringing skill, precision, and craftsmanship to every piece of log furniture and railing he creates.  Along with his team, they manufacture and create many of the log furniture pieces along with railing that give LogHeads its distinctive rustic style, including tables, chairs, beds, and outdoor furniture. Biggun coordinates daily production, supports the craftsmen on his team, and helps ensure each piece receives the attention to detail customers expect.

With 20 years of experience, he brings skill, knowledge and steady leadership to his department.

Brett — Finish Shop Manager

Brett leads up our Finishing Department.  He ensures that the finishing steps bring each piece of LogHeads furniture to life. He specializes in applying protective finishes and stains that enhance the wood’s natural beauty.

The finish is one of the most  important parts of the final appearance of your handcrafted rustic wood furniture. Brett’s attention to detail, highlights the grain, knots, and natural character that make every rustic furniture piece one of a kind.  He has an excellent Team that works with him that has the same keen eye to ensure your finished product is top notch.

With 8 years of finishing experience you can be sure your rustic log furniture will be a beautiful addition to your room.

Ricky — Shipping Manager

Ricky gets to touch every piece of furniture and railing that is manufactured at LogHeads and that is ALOT of furniture/railing.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in this department.  He also has an excellent Team that works beside him.

 Every completed piece of LogHeads furniture/railing is carefully prepared, packaged, and ready for safe delivery to your home. Furniture shipping requires planning and attention to detail, especially when handling large, handcrafted log beds, dressers, tables, and other substantial pieces.  Each piece is individually shrink wrapped and secured with cardboard and placed on a customized skid.  It is then fully enclosed with OSB plywood and secured with strapping.  

Ricky has been part of Tommy’s team since the beginning and brings more than 30 years of experience to LogHeads. His knowledge helps protect each order during the final stage of its journey from our Kentucky manufacturing facility to your home.
