For over 25 years, Tommy Mitchell has handcrafted log railing with our 100% US harvested Northern White Cedar which naturally resists insects, rot and decay, making it the perfect choice for both the inside and the outside of your home. Used by both commercial and residential customers alike, our handcrafted log railing is designed to be custom fitted on site. We make it easier than ever with our pre-cut 8-ft sections. With your choice of our standard log, lodge log, and our aluminum railing, this classic rustic look is sure to enhance any indoor or outdoor location.

How It Works

  • Railing comes fully assembled in custom built lengths or pre-cut 8-ft sections ready to install.
  • All railing is made from 100% #1 Grade Northern White Cedar.
  • Railing comes in our beautiful Hand Hewn texture or Cabin True-Diameter Sanded Smooth Texture.
  • The bottom 7″ of the post is used for notching (a mounting method).
  • The notching of your post will depend on how it will be mounted.
  • Deck Mount posts available.
  • Most posts may be cut to custom lengths.

Looking for posts for your project? We have 5, 6, and 8 inches in diameter posts and can special order up to 10 inch posts.

We can custom drill holes to receive the top and bottom rail and all posts up to 8” in diameter.
5” posts can also be half notched for easy installation.
